Irene Calboli

Irene Calboli specializes in Intellectual Property, Trade, and Cultural Heritage Law. She is Regents Professor of Law at Texas A&M University School of Law and holds several honorary and visiting appointments, including at the University of Geneva, the University of Bologna, SciencesPo Paris, Bocconi University, Melbourne University, and Stanford University. In 2022, she was a Fulbright-Hanken Distinguished Chair in Business and Economics in Finland and, in 2018, a Fulbright Specialist Scholar at the Royle University of Law and Economics in Cambodia. She is a member of the editorial board of several
scientific journals, including the Oxford Journal of Intellectual Property Law and Practice, the Queen Mary Journal of Intellectual Property, and the WIPO-WTO Colloquium Papers. She is an elected member of the American Law Institute and the European Law Institute. She serves on the board of several professional associations, including the Comparative Law and European Law Sections of the Association of American Law Schools, the International Law Association, the European Policy for Intellectual Property Law Association, and the International Trademark Association. Irene regularly advises national governments and international organizations and is currently serving as Expert for the World Intellectual Property Organization, the World Trade Organization, the U.N. International Trade Center, and the European Union. Irene is a graduate of the University of Bologna, Queen Mary University, and the London School of Economics.
