Since November 2022, Ingeborg Simonsson is a legally qualified judge in the Court of Appeal of the Unified Patent Court, and Member of the UPC Presidium. She has been a judge in Swedish courts since 2008, addressing all types of patent cases on a regular basis, as well as intellectual property law cases and civil litigation cases. Before becoming a national judge, she did full time research and teaching at Stockholm University, where she holds a degree of doctor of European law and associate professor (docent). Ingeborg Simonsson has worked extensively not only on intellectual property law but also on competition law.
