Emilie Gallois
ROUNDTABLE: Perspectives from Economists at IP Offices
Emilie Gallois holds a degree in electronic engineering, a Master’s Degree in Technology Management and Innovation from the University Paris Dauphine, and a CEIPI-Patents university diploma. Following experience in intellectual property monitoring within the industry, Emilie joined the French National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI France) as a patent examiner, specializing in electronics and microelectronics. In 2013, she became head of the Electrotechnics-Control department and contributed to examiner training (inventive step analysis, limitation examination, updating examination guidelines). In 2020, she transitioned to the Directorate of Economic Action as a department head responsible for supporting SMEs on intellectual property matters, and she also provided expertise on intellectual asset valuation and economic intelligence to students, researchers, companies, and government officials. Since 2023, Emilie has been the head of the Studies Department within the Directorate of Economic Action at INPI France, with a mission to raise awareness among businesses and public authorities about the importance of intellectual asset protection and valorization.
