ROUNDTABLE: Perspectives from Economists at IP Offices

Bernard Ong is Group Director of Policy and Engagement at the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS). Bernard completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in 2022. He obtained his PhD at Waseda University, Japan after graduating in economics from the National University of Singapore. He was also a Fellow at the Global Institute for Asian Regional Integration and taught “FTAs and East Asia” at Waseda University. Prior to joining IPOS, he held a range of portfolios in international research and engagement for the Singapore Government covering sectors including defence, education, manpower and statistics.
